We tried four times to make this tuberose behave — soften it, round it off, make it easier to wear at noon. Every version was worse than the raw material itself. Nocturne is the fifth attempt: we stopped fighting the flower and built pink pepper and bergamot as a lit fuse instead of a leash.
It is not a subtle scent. If that’s what you want, look elsewhere in the collection.
